We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager (or Patrao's as we call them) to join our Newmarket team !

A great opportunity for an experienced leaders with a positive attitude, great hands on restaurant experience, who loves developing a great customer experience and coaching their team to greatness.


The Restaurants


Nando's Newmarket is a in a great spot on the entry to the Newmarket Village Shopping Centre .It is a busy place that can grow more.

Already with a strong customer following, there's plenty of scope for developing the team and building an amazingly positive customer experience that keeps customers coming back.


You really MUST have hands on experience in similar roles with a proven

back ground in rostering, people leadership, restaurant financials

and have led a team to great success

We are looking for a great charismatic person as we are creating truly customer focused restaurants. We have great team's who know and love Nando's but some need a great leader, coach and customer focused role model. Someone who wants to learn, loves to coach, who is resilient, wants to build a great career and be part of a brand transformation. 


In a nutshell, the Restaurant Leader, known internally as a Patrao (Patrao means head of the family in Portuguese) is responsible for the operational excellence of the restaurant, development of the team and exceptional customer experience.


This is achieved through a mixture of working along side the Nandoca's (our name for Team Members) and providing coaching, mentoring as well as creating and executing operational plans.


This isn't an entry level role, we are looking for the real deal!


On paper we will be looking for the following:

  • Experience in a casual dining restaurant as a manager (think pubs, bars, restaurants, open grills and other casual dining experiences)
  • Has led a team and been accountable for the development of others
  • Someone who wants a restaurant career and a stable role they can own and work autonomously
  • Has been accountable for inventory, rostering, team training and development in their career
  • Has life experience and passionate about developing their team AND relationships with customers
  • Has a personally, positive attitude towards life and working proactively with others
