The Role:

As the People and Culture Coordinator reporting to the National People Partner, you will support the wider People Team with various generalist HR administrative tasks and projects. You have a passion for Workplace Health and Safety and enjoy (and are seriously good at) working with systems. You thrive operating within a fast-paced environment, love working with people and are confident in being the key point of contact for multiple business partners and our field team, escalating matters as appropriate.


This is a broad role and you will have the opportunity to work across various HR functions including Recruitment, Workplace Health & Safety, Compliance and employee database management. You will have the scope to identify opportunities for improvement and work with the team to improve and streamline our systems and processes.  



What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the People Partners with various compliance and administrative tasks including conducting Visa audits, producing written correspondence and assisting with P&C queries;
  • Develop and maintain Workplace Health and Safety, and Workers Compensation policies and procedures;
  • Manage the National Workers Compensation claims and act as the Return to Work Coordinator for the business;
  • Act as system administrator for all HR systems and provide advice to the business on best practice whilst continually identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Provide support to People Partners for the recruitment of employees;
  • Monitor the P&C mailbox and respond to enquiries when they arise, escalating appropriately;
  • Assist with reporting on HR metrics including periodic reporting on turnover, quarterly global KPIs and ad hoc reporting.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Tertiary degree level qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (in progress or complete);
  • Experience in a similar role;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Advanced HR systems and PC skills, specifically word, excel, outlook;
  • Ability to make decisions and provide clear and accurate advice based on company policies and knowledge of current legislation;
  • An ability to build rapport at all levels within the organisation;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • A strong team ethic and a willingness to learn.
