Community Engagement Partner
12 Month Contract

A great opportunity has opened for an experienced community marketer on a 12 month contract basis, to join the Nando’s team. The role of the Community Engagement Partner will lead key purpose initiatives across the Australian business. You will play an integral part in setting up purpose driving activities and connecting restaurants digitally to their local community.


The successful candidate will come from a community focused role where they’ve initiated and nurtured key relationships. They’ll also have a strong passion for working for a purpose-led organisation and will love creating a buzz for local marketing initiatives.


The Community Engagement Partner reports to the Customer Excellence Manager and will create restaurant communities locally, enabling them to be digitally connected, grown and nurtured with purpose led initiatives. 


What will your day look like?

  • Contribute to the development of the annual Marketing plan
  • Design and implementation of purpose driven activities aligned with the Nando’s brand
  • Initiate links with local communities
  • Create engagement and momentum for local area marketing
  • Manage, measure and drive three of our major purpose led initiatives
  • No Chuckin’ Our Chicken
  • NanDonation and other initiatives in support of wiping our malaria
  • Giving local community youth a hand up and hope for their future
  • Creating a buzz around the opening/refurbishments of new restaurants
  • Accurately accounting for investment, revenue generated and impact of initiatives
  • Manage marketing and catering inboxes and assist with customer care inbox
  • Manage all internal communications, engagements and incentives related to Community Engagement and PERi-Perks ensuring appropriate messaging and timely delivery
  • Build effective working relationships across the Nando’s Australia business
  • Promote best practise within the Marketing department and constantly look to improve processes and procedures

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years experience building community partnerships, ideally in a purpose led organisation is desirable
  • Drive, energy and creativity.
  • Proven initiative as a self-starter, driven by results. Ideally in business development.
  • A team player that fits in with a dynamic marketing department.
  • Well organised, comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Technically savvy
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail
  • Good sense of humour
